What I ate:
Blackened Ahi Tuna
*This meal was during an interview I did with Washingtonian magazine.
Let me start by saying, wow this place was dark! Maybe it was the wood walls or that it was kinda down under the street. Anyway, it was pretty cozy and a little classy.
My lemonade was sour and tangy. Not the sweetest I’ve ever had, but it was good. There was sweetness in the after taste.
I ordered the crispy chicken because I was doing wing places the whole month and thought I should try some here too. The chicken had a sauce with a spicy bold flavor and I loved the real crispy texture. The meat was tender and moist. I really liked these wings.
This was my first time trying ahi tuna. I really didn’t know what that means. BUT! This was a great sandwich! It was soaked in sauce lol but I liked it. It had a smoky flavor and when you bite it you can see that the tuna was still pink inside. My mom said, it’s supposed to be like that. The flavor of this tuna was really good and they definitely had a big piece of lettuce on there. LOL
Our server was Matt. He seems pretty nice. He came around a lot in the beginning, but was ok and didn’t bother us a whole bunch while we were eating.
I think this was a good lunch. My sandwich was big so I was able to eat the rest for dinner. I would come back here. I saw some other things on the menu that looked really good for brunch.
