What I ate:
Hot Link Sausage
LOL! I ordered so much food.
Let’s start with the deviled eggs. They were pretty good. They had a nice smooth creamy filling that was a little spicy. I like spicy food though.
The cornbread was great! You guys know I like bread. It was just a little sweet and not to mealy. It came with a butter that I think had cinnamon or something in it.
Baked beans are one of my favorite foods so I was waiting to taste them. Guess what? They were amazing! Or maybe I just really like baked beans. They have a sweet smoky flavor and there seemed to be little shreds of brisket in there too.
The sweet potatoes were nice and sweet, but not like candy. They were smooth and not lumpy and they weren’t liquidy.
Meh, the green beans were ok. They were kind of cheesy and they had a bunch of mushrooms in them that I wasn’t expecting.
I like the smoky flavor of the ribs the best. There wasn’t much to say except that they were the best meat I had there. The sauce was hot, but I liked it.
But the market chicken was okay. I think my chicken wasn’t all the way cooked though, because it had a different taste and it was light pink inside. It did have a good BBQ sauce on it. I usually don’t like a whole lot of sauce on my chicken, but it helped make it taste better.
The brisket was something I wanted to try because I had never had it before. It sure looks interesting. My mom pointed out the smoke line that I guess all brisket is supposed to have. It was too heavy of a meat for me though. I did like the smokey flavor it had and it was pretty moist because of the fat.
How did they measure up?
