What I ate:
Hickory Smoked Shrimp
Filet Mignon Steak Kebab
This place looks like it was in an old movie and its kind of dark inside.
One cool thing about this place is that in the very back, they have a whole bunch of brick ovens in the walls and you see all the chefs back there cooking your food.
They had a huge salad bar where you could get all the salad you want and you could put lots of different things on it. I like Caesar salad because I like croutons, so that’s what I got. The dressing was pretty good. The bread the server gave was good and warm too!
The mushrooms were the first thing to come out. They did have a light char, but I was confused because they were in a broth. There was no flavor, it tasted like a regular boiled mushroom. I did like the broth though. The shrimp were petite with a light char and my steak had a good char on it too. The steak was pretty juicy and it came with a big onion ring on the side.
Having those oven in the back made me think all my food was going to be so flavorful, but one thing all my “char broiled” food had in common was that other than the char, there was no flavor. That’s sad.
I wonder do they have seasonings back there.
How did they measure up?
