What I ate:
Pork & Chive Mandoo (dumplings)
Honey Sesame Wings
Soy Garlic Wings
So first, even though this place was a sit down restaurant, it was very relaxed and casual. This was my first time going to a Korean BBQ place. I didn’t have only one server, there were 3. They were pretty good and came when we needed them and even when we didn’t, just to check.
I was excited to use my chopsticks because I really want to know how to use them right. I ate my dumplings with them. Let me tell you, those dumplings were good! They had the right amount of filing. The flavor was good and there wasn’t any big flavor that over powered them. The sauce was nice and tangy. The shell was good and crispy too.
The honey sesame wings were great and very crispy. You could taste the honey when you bit into the chicken, which went together well. I could only taste the sesame as an after taste.
Finally, the soy garlic wings. They were pretty good and almost tasted the same as the honey sesame wings except the garlic was a big flavor. It was really a whole lot of garlic. They were also really crispy. I do think they were a little salty, but in a good way. I think that comes from the soy sauce.
One thing, both types of wings looked the same. Maybe they should put sesame seeds on the Honey Sesame ones.
How did they measure up?
