Jungle Skipper Canteen
(Magic Kingdom – Walt Disney World)
Orlando, Florida

What I ate:
Pomegranate Lemonade
Sea Shu Mai
Perkins Thai Noodles

This place definitely made you feel like you were in a jungle adventure. The theme was in everything, like how they greet you and take you to your table and with the decorations. Even what the servers are wearing says jungle adventure. Our server was Kristina. She was nice. She made sure to check that there weren’t any peanuts in the food I ordered too.

My pomegranate lemonade was great. It was sweet and tart, but it had a sour after taste. You could taste the pomegranate though.

For my appetizer I had the Sea Shu Mai dumplings. These were great to start. They came in a cute basket thing. They has sesame seeds on top and I could taste the edamame in the filling which added a slight crunch. The filling was a little spicy, but in a good way. I like spicy. The spicy kinda played off the saltiness of the soy sauce I dipped them in.

My meal was sweet and spicy. The Perkins Thai Noodles had tofu in it. I had never tasted tofu before. At first I thought the tofu was chicken. LOL Its weird to eat on its own; soft and tangy. The chicken was tender and a little sweet.  I like the bell peppers because they helped cool down the spiciness. A weird, but nice thing about this dish is that the broth is sweet and the noodles were spice. It was good over all. I liked it.

How did they measure up?
